Candidates Applying for Mining JE Posts Will Now Face CBT and Supervisory Skill Test
NMDC Limited has announced an important update regarding its ongoing Junior Engineer (Mining) Recruitment 2026. The public sector mining company has revised the selection procedure for the recruitment of 59 contractual Junior Engineer posts under Employment Notification No. 04/2026.
The latest update introduces a two-stage recruitment process comprising a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Supervisory Skill Test. Candidates preparing for the recruitment drive should carefully review the revised criteria, as the final merit list will now be prepared based on the updated selection framework.
Major Change in NMDC JE Recruitment Process
The biggest development in the recruitment drive is the modification of the selection method.
As per the revised notification, applicants will first have to appear for a Computer Based Test. Candidates who achieve the prescribed qualifying marks will become eligible for the next stage, which is the Supervisory Skill Test.
Only those who successfully clear both stages will be considered for final selection.
NMDC has clarified that all other conditions mentioned in the original recruitment notification remain unchanged.

For example, if one vacancy exists in a category, up to three candidates from that category may be called for the next stage.

NMDC has also clarified that if multiple candidates secure identical marks at the cut-off point, all such candidates will be invited for the Skill Test even if the 1:3 ratio exceeds.

How Final Selection Will Be Done
